Kaisa grass storage basket

This robust basket is made out of Kaisa grass, carefully hand-woven by skilled women in producer groups in Bangladesh.

Natural colour and multicoloured stripes

Approximate size: 18cm diameter x 34cm height

The artisans purchase the materials from the local market and clean the grass before moving onto the dyeing process. After the grass has been dyed, it is then left in the
sunlight to dry. Shortly after, the artisans weave the baskets with the grass using a traditional technique.
